Smith & Williamson

Insight is better than hindsight

Smith and Williamson has been looking after the financial affairs of individuals, families and businesses for more than a century.

Smith and Williamson is one of the UK’s largest accountancy firms, with an investment management business of around £25 billion of funds under management. They have over 1,800 people in 12 offices across the UK, Ireland and Jersey.

Uffindell were commissioned to review the organisations positioning and brand identity and make recommendations as to how the brand assets could be utilised for maximum effect, while reflecting the vision and personality of the business.

This review involved an in-depth audit of all existing communication materials and channels, followed by interviewing all key internal stakeholders. From this data we worked to develop a distinctive tone of voice and internal guidance to ease the process.

We developed supplemental brand assets, including new graphic devices, additional icons and infographics. We revised the Communications Hierarchy to demonstrate the usage of the revised brand assets. The outcome of this was the creation of a revised, comprehensive brand guidelines and internal team briefings.
