Bringing Pittsburgh to the world and the world to Pittsburgh
To coincide with the launch of the new $1.7 billion, 'state of the art’ Pittsburgh International Airport terminal, referred to as ‘the most beautiful airport design in North America’, Uffindell was commissioned to create the new brand for the terminal.
It was important the new brand reflected the positivity, optimism and creativity of Pittsburgh.

The terminal is intended to capture the essence of the city, with locally sourced materials, environmentally friendly systems and innovative architecture.
The project includes the creation of a new corporate identity and extensive creative platform that could work for the international airport, the regional Allegheny County airport and the Regional Airport Authority. Working with the internal brand and marketing team, a comprehensive rollout of the identity is being completed for the opening in the Fall of 2025.
The name was updated to incorporate the airport code: PIT. Renewed use of color was a key aspect of the new identity as Pittsburgh is renowned for its extensive use of Black and Gold. For instance It is the only city in the US where all the professional sports teams (Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates) play in the same Black and Gold colorway
